File Extension Qic

Windows Operating Systems provide several ways to back up your data. Tape back ups always have a file extension qic. Just like cassette tapes, tape back ups erase old content before recording new content. Many professionals recommend tape back ups for businesses.

Professionals advise using three tapes. Use the first tape as a primary system backup and alternate two other tapes for maintenance. If the most recent tape has corrupted data on it, you can use the older cleaner tape to reconstruct the data without the corruption. Then just use the corrupted tape to back up the system again. Keep the old tape until you are sure the corrupted files are fixed.

I really do love FileCure because it's so easy to use - you don't have to be some kind of computer guru to get just what you need!

Plug and play? Not even close. I spent a lot of time trying to get my new, so-called 'plug and play' scanner to work. I was about ready to take it back. ParetoLogic FileCure got it working and saved me a needless trip (and gas!!) back to the store.

I have to admit I'm no computer geek. When something goes wrong, I usually have to call someone to fix it and it costs me a lot of money. When my printer wouldn't work, a friend of mine suggested I try ParetoLogic FileCure a try. I figured it was worth a shot because I was going to have to pay for a geek anyway. I was so happy when it worked... and worked properly!

I figured the graphics card my grandson gave me was broken when I couldn't get it work on my computer. It turns out that I just didn't have the right driver. ParetoLogic FileCure got it workin.

Hello FileCure folks:

I can't thank you enough for this great product. I just bought a new Vista machine and had been having all kinds of problems. First it was my screen and once I got that fixed it was the printer . Finally, my son suggested I try your product. It worked great and continues to keep my computer working. Thanks you.

Reggie E., N. Dakota

I hate paying a lot of money for anything. That's why I buy mostly used computer equipment. Last week I thought I got taken when I bought a scanner. It just would not work. ParetoLogic Driver Cure got it working. With the updates, it makes sure my stuff will keep working and that I don't have to pay more money.

I work at a school so my mom thinks I am some kind of computer whiz. I have wasted so much time trying to get her stuff to work. Our IT guy suggested I try ParetoLogic FileCure. It has been a godsend and has saved me a lot of wasted hours. My mom and I can't thank you enough.

My wife bought me a new Vista system, and ever since I have had problems with some of my hardware. I saw FileCure, and decided to give it a shot. Ever since, the Vista and my hardware have been working great. Thanks!

Nick Shultz, Canberra, Australia

I upgraded my system to Vista, and my printer started to act funny. No error messages, but it just wasn't working quite right. I read that drivers could sometimes be the problem. I looked online and saw FileCure. After downloading FileCure, my printer works great. You guys rock!

This is also the best way to overcome .qic errors. Many businesses make a tape backup of the computer as soon as they install all their software and are sure it is running properly. They keep this tape offsite for emergencies. Employees save a copy of all data everyday to disc. Then about a week later, the company uses the first of two tapes to backup the system. This process continues, often, to the end of the fiscal year when they use the original offsite tape to back up the system again. Usually the company keeps these tapes in a bank deposit box or a secured facility against fire, theft, or other disaster. The maintenance tapes are stored elsewhere. The most recent tape is onsite.

More Info Regarding File Extension Qic

This is not as redundant as it sounds. The data on a computer is an asset, and when a company has many computers working off a single server a tape back up is a priceless asset.

The average home computer user should never see a file extension qic unless they used the backup manager without a tape system in place.

A computer saves to disc by reading, formatting, and copying information to the disc. Later, when you transfer the information back to the computer, the computer reads the information and copies to the hard drive. There are three primary differences between saving information to external storage and creating a backup.

The first and most important difference is that it a backup is not a file. It is pure datum. Secondly, the computer does not read backed up information, it loads the information directly to the hard drive. Last, a backup overwrites existing data completely.

All is not lost if you tried to back up your system without the tape. The back up does not wipe out the drive. Everything is still available unless you deleted it with the intention of starting over.

It can be confusing when a message appears to back up your data before you continue. Users think in terms of saving or copying work not backing it up. Yet all too often, we will find the back up manager and start trying to back up the system. When you see this message, simply save your work and continue.

Today, with the megabyte storage capacity of compact discs and flash drives, tape back ups seem ineffective to the private user. This is not true. Tapes hold similar amounts of data formatted in a way that compact discs and flash drives cannot emulate.

If you do not have a tape back up system but you have a file extension qic on your hard drive you should just go ahead and delete it. You will never be able to open this file. Nor will deleting a .qic cause any harm to your computer. This is not a system file or a file that shares registry files with any other file.

Like the fonts in foreign languages on your computer, this file is just sitting there taking up space.
